# 1: From Employee to Entrepreneur with Amy Corbett

Welcome to the first ever episode of the STR Sisterhood Podcast! In this episode, I’m joined by Amy Corbett, and we discuss how Amy and her husband walked away from a stable income, “tested” their short-term rental business for 1 year, and haven’t looked back since!

The STR Sisterhood Podcast is a show that aims to empower women who are looking to start or grow their own short-term rental business. Our goal is to provide you with the information you need to make your own decisions about your business—and help you figure out what works best for you!

In this episode, we talk about:

-Why Amy decided to leave her job in order to pursue her passion for hosting people in her home.

-How she and her husband created a short-term rental business that made them both feel good about making money while doing something they love.

-How they tested their business model for one year before they quit their jobs and made the jump into full time entrepreneurship.
